sealevel
We help develop imaginative fiction and non-fiction projects both creatively and within the framework of the film industry, finding the right links internationally to support you on your filmmaking journey.
We offer professional mentorship, consultation and feedback at various stages of development, production and distribution for feature length and short fiction and documentary projects.
Besides one-to-one sessions, our annual Sealevel Lab gathers filmmakers wanting to work on the development of their projects not only in partnership with film mentors, but also by exploring their creative voice and aritistic leanings through alternative practices in groups and individually.
OUR SERVICES
script development
From idea to finished script, we offer a range of creative services tailored to the needs of each project. These include script mentoring and one-to-one feedback sessions on script drafts helping both aspiring and experienced filmmakers to turn their ideas into full-fledged scripts.
Our script consultants have years of both industry and film teaching experience. They have written and directed films that have gone on to screen at A-list festivals and beyond, and have been picked up for distribution by international platforms. They have mentored projects that have won significant awards at international markets and festivals across the world.
LAB
The Sealevel Lab is an annual retreat by the sea offering filmmakers an interdisciplinary space to focus on writing and story development. The lab offers a combination of film workshops and one-to-one meetings with experienced guest mentors, as well as sessions delving into the creative process through disciplines such as constellations, astrology, meditation and movement.
The Sealevel Lab allows filmmakers to access their inner voice, examine their life journeys, and connect with their body and mind through holistic practices guided by experienced mentors. Participants will leave the Lab with a refreshed view on their projects and a renewed connection to themselves as artists.
production Consultancy
Our one-to-one production consultations are intended to monitor essential stages of preparations for the principal photography including moodboards, storyboards, floorplans, casting and scheduling processes. At this stage, we will help filmmakers navigate through all the crucial steps of translating a script into visual form, making the most fitting decisions regarding the mood, pace, feel and the audiovisual structure of their films.
festival & DISTRIBUTION strategy
With a team of experienced producers, film curators and festival consultants, completed films as well as projects at the stage of post-production will receive a solid distribution strategy that will strengthen the visibility and festival reach of each project based on their audience and market potential.
